Upcoming Events

Direct Withdrawal Update: After many delays the direct withdrawal option for contributions to our church is going ahead. The sign-up forms will be available after all masses and may also be downloaded here. The first withdrawal is planned for February 15th and will be done on a monthly basis thereafter. All donations whether through direct withdrawal or envelopes are still tax deductible and a receipt for income tax purposes be issued at the end of the year for both.

Children attending Public School St. Pius X parish has catechism classes for Grades 1 to 12 on Saturday mornings from 9-10:30 a.m. Registration takes place September 11, 2010, the cost is $10.00/child. Classes will begin September 18.

Sacrament Dates & Meetings

Here are the dates and general information on sacraments, forms are located further below.

For further information  regarding the Sacrament preparation (such as where we are celebrating the sacraments starting in 2011), contact Shannon Martel the Sacramental Preparation Coordinator at the Parish Office 403-275-6500 Monday Wednesday Friday 9:30-11:30am.

RCIC/RCIT/RCIA

For Children/Teens and Adults wishing to receive the Sacrament of Baptism or those who have been Baptized but have not received the Sacraments of Initiation please contact the parish office for registration or more information

Reconciliation

Saturday 3:30pm before 5:00pm Mass, and Tuesday 6:00pm @ St John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, or contact the Parish office for an appointment.

Baptism Preparation

First Saturday of each month. Please call office to make arrangements.

Baptisms are held the second Sunday of every month (except during Lent) during the 9 a.m. and 10: 30 a.m. masses at SVEC. The Saturday baptisms have been cancelled due to time conflicts at the new location. 

Wedding Arrangements

Please contact the office at least six months in advance to make arrangements.

First Eucharist/Communion 

This Sacrament is typically celebrated when the child is in Grade 2. It usually takes place in June, with registration closing end of April.

First Reconciliation

This Sacrament is typically celebrated when the child is in Grade 4.

This particular Sacrament has already been celebrated this year (fall 2010). Please watch this page for further details about next year's celebration.

Confirmation

This Sacrament is typically celebrated when he/she is in Grade 6.
